EXECUTIVE SESSION INVOCATION
The City Council will
now meet in executive session. The
executive session is held pursuant to ORS 192.660(1) (h), which allows the
Council to meet in executive session to discuss potential litigation.
Representatives of the
news media and designated staff shall be allowed to attend the executive
session that will be held in the Road Commission Conference Room.
All other members of the audience are asked to remain in the
Council Chambers. Representatives
of the news media are specifically directed not to report on any of the
deliberations during the executive session, except to state the general
subject of the session as previously announced.
No decision may be made in executive session.
At the end of the executive session, we will return to open
session.

special meeting of the City Council.
- Roll Call.
- Pledge of Allegiance.
- Announce:
The City Council will now adjourn to Executive Session to discuss the
status of litigation involving the City with the City Attorney in
accordance with ORS 192.660(1) (h).
- A separate Agenda for
the Executive Session will be distributed.
NOTE:
The City Council is not allowed:
1.
To make a final decision
during the Executive Session.
When
adjourning to Executive Session a member of the media may be present so
long as they do not have an interest in the litigation and are
admonished to not take notes, or disclose what was discussed during
closed session.
When discussion is over, the Council must adjourn and reopen the
public hearing and announce again what the council discussed, by title
only, i.e. to consider the pending litigation.
The council will then announce the decision or postpone the
decision to an announced date.
